About FUE Hair Plant Procedures
PROCEDURE
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant procedure that transfers existing individual hair follicles from the patient's skin to a thinner and or hairless areas of his/her body. In this medical procedure, the surgeon uses micropunches to extract and move individual follicles, leaving behind almost no signs of extraction and very little evidence that the procedure was performed.
SAFETY
FUE is considered to be a safe medical procedure, with only minor side effects, including small and barely discernable white scars in the places where follicles were extracted.
CONVENIENCE
FUE is usually performed over a period of several days in multiple sessions of two to four hours each. The FUE procedure is typically performed as an outpatient procedure, so the patient can go home right after the procedure is completed.
EFFECTIVENESS
Hair transplants usually start growing back after 2- 4 months, with 20%-80% of the hair transplanted expected to grow back.
